Tikva Allocell presented poster at the 16th FCS conference

Tikva Allocell presented poster at the 16th Frontiers in Cancer Science conference, held on 13-15 November 2023 at Matrix at Biopolis, Singapore.

SINGAPORE – 15 Nov 2024 – Tikva Allocell’s Head of Research – Dr Lionel Low presented a poster on Tikva’s allogenic CAR EBVST platform at the much-anticipated Frontiers in Cancer Science (FCS) conference. Dr Low explained how Tikva overcomes the challenges in preventing graft-versus-host disease (GvHD), enhancing tumor infiltration and the synergistic approach to dual targeting using the transduced B7-H3.CAR and intact EBV-specific T-Cell Receptors (TCRs). He also highlighted how Tikva’s armoring using a modified SerpinB9 molecule – SerpinB9 (CAS), can potentially provide resistance to cell death both in vitro and in vivo.

The multifarious role of SerpinB9 armoring

CAR-T cell therapy has revolutionized cancer treatment, but its efficacy against solid tumors remains limited due to challenges like poor CAR-T cell in-vivo survival. Tikva’s engineered SB9 EBVST platform will not only address a major resistance mechanism axis but also opens doors to more effective CAR T cell therapies for solid tumors.
